I probably should've posted this in Market & Commissions but hopefully this might get a wider audience.
Does anyone have the base from Yuri's 'Tales of the North' that they don't plan to use and would be willing to offload?
Specifically it's the skull and immediate surrounding area I need.
Cheers
Derek

Cheers Steve, Ideally I'm hoping to match pretty near exactly the size and style of the original.
When I'm at Euro I'm pretty hopeful that I'll get something. I know MDP do something pretty near.
Thanks for the thought
Derek

Thought I'd cracked it when I saw that Masterclass had re-released the figure but it looks as though they've dumped the original Beowulf base and called it a Barbarian.

There is always the Verlinden skulls. @ 120mm- 150mm ! The rest of the base looks fairly generic! which could be manufactured to your whim.:)

Thanks for the thought Mark.
Scale and style don't work for what I have in mind. Think I'm going to have to do a press cast.

Del, then I am really confused! what is the actual figure or base, that you are seeking? You say scale & style doesn't match! ...? Any pics available???? Give us a clue, fella!? :D

A what cast?.. This one is new to me! 'Vas ist Das'.

Regards,

Mark

Probably should've said Press Mould.

I know it looks a fair bit of hassle for a relatively simple piece, but because the skulls will be together I need a match.
Won't be doing it until after Euro just incase there's something there that fits the bill. Suppose I could buy 2 matching skulls but Yuri's looks realistic where others look like Homer Simpsons :)

Hi Del,
was just sorting out a load off stuff to get rid of, and came across these 2
If they are any good to you, you are welcome to them mate.

They are only stained, so a quick undercoat, and ready to go again.

Cheers

Hi Mark, doing a press casting just means taking a part, making a mould of it and pushing modelling putty into the mould. When set, just open the mould and you have a copy of the part. Simple, no pouring to work out, no air vents to work out. There's an article about how to do it on Cmon using green stuff for the mould material.
Best wishes, Gary.
