Update on the Michael Roberts bust
I have altered the eyes slightly and the
tunic is nearly done, still have to paint the white crosses
Notice I have a sheen on the tunic will have to hit it with a matt varnish to dull it down

I was going to use Testors Dullcoat but having never used it before I will wait until the oils are completely dry

Any thoughts on which varnish to use guys?

Cheers

John

It looks great, John.

After the oils have dried on my figures I always airbrush 'em with Vallejo matt varnish. I give 'em about several very light mist coats.
I'm not sure about usin' a canned spray, this stuff comes out thick and heavy, and you don't have no control. Ooer!

Hi Paul
Thanks for your comments unfortunately I dont have an airbrush but do have a bottle of Vallejo matt varnish so I could always use that painted on with a brush
I have used it on other figures and it works very well
its just that I have heard a lot about testors dullcoat and wanted to try it

I shall have to give it a lot of thought

Cheers

John
