Michael Roberts Ltd. Morgan's Rifleman in 120mm. Painted in mat enamels and oils.

The work by the artist on this site is a major inspiration for me. I try to get better with each new figure.

This figure was intended by the sculptor, Terry Karselis, to represent Tim Murphy, the fine Irish American rifleman who dropped Brigadier Simon Fraser with a shot to the guts during the fight at Bemis Heights during the Saratoga campaign. Fine shot. Without Fraser's leadership the redcoats and Brunswickers eventually gave up the day. Brigadier Fraser did not survive the day.

Thank you all for the kind words gentleman.

And thank you Steve for the background information. I researched Morgan's Rifleman but was not aware that this figure was representing a specific individual.
