I've just viewed aPegaso 54mm mounted figure priced at £80 Can you imagine how much that would be in 90mm? Ray

The Pegaso comes with a very nice base and name plaque, Metal Models are £60 without the extras so very much on a par. 54mm mounted figures from the likes of Chronos and Soga miniatures are 40/45 euros in either White metal or resin........I know where I am buying.

... a good pal of mine ... and I were discussing how we've all got enough models to keep us busy at the bench for several lifetimes, and he described sitting there admiring the stash (and let's be honest - we all do it!) in similar terms, saying we're like a bunch of Smaugs sitting lovingly on our massive piles of treasure.
...
We might be modellers & painters. But to a greater or lesser extent, we're collectors as well.

How right you are Steve!! And what a great collection they are.

Cheers

I always thought the base,(Groundwork) was part of the modeling we took care of, as well as Nameplaates or Captions. The point I was trying to make, was if 54mm are now costing that much, what could we expect a 90mm would cost? This hobby is now begining to rise up that slope the way other modeling hobbies have gone like Model Railways, Boats and Aircraft where prices are now so high, we're pricing the young out of the Hobby. £80 is a lot of cash if you're skills are at the beginers level!!
