I'm still trying to get to grips with acrylics . Most of this is painted in acrylics but I painted the buckskin trousers in oils because I couldn't get the two legs to come out the same colour in acrylics , after 3 attempts I gave up . Still a bit of touching up to do , some lighter colours on the fringes on the shirt, a few darker shadows on the finges on the trousers and tidy up the pattern on the loincloth .

Chippy mate nice work on this mountain man and i can see your getting there with the acrylics mate, like you i struggle with them also and end up going back to oils.

Nice looking base also :)

Roger thanks for the compliments ,the base is one I made myself .
Thank you Marc . Steve yes I'm still struggling but I like the speed acrylics lets me complete a figure , no waiting for paint to dry .
Thanks John . Mark I'm sort of getting there but I'm still finding keeping the mixes the same each time one of the hardest things .
