Hello Folks
This 120mm resin kit is the latest figure from Mitches Military Models. It depicts a mounted officer of the Buffs directing infantrymen with sword drawn. It fits well with existing figures of the Buffs 'Defending the Colours' set or as a stand alone model.
It has been sculpted by Maurice Corry and is available only from www.mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk
The price is £95 + p&p. UK = £4.50, Europe £9.50 and the rst of the world £12.50

Superb and unusual figure, but somwhat pricey compared with other 120mm mounted resin figures.

I have quite literally just received the Mounted British Officer in the post, thanks Gordon! First impressions are most favourable with just the usual clean up associated with most resin castings.
I am planning to use the British figures from this series to depict the 69th regt at Quatre Bras and I think I might replace the bicorne with a belgic shako on the mounted officer, as the bicorne is cast separately this is a very straightforward swap. Then again the mounted officer might be suitable as a staff type officer wearing a bicorne, just need to check some references.
Now if I could just find some suitable 120mm French Cuirassier figures! There are I suppose the Verlinden ones but I'm not sure about the quality.

Geoff

I have a 120mm Verlinden mounted Cuirassier and it's both a quality sculpt and casting. I think the pose would suit your concept well as the horse is rearing and the Cuirassier is thrusting with his sword.
