Very nice rendition of Murat at Eylau....in a sense he was the Goering of his time with self designed grandiose uniforms and leaving Napoleon when all was lost. But what a cavalryman!

Colin

In the end he hedged his bets and lost , if he had been at Waterloo the french might have just won it was that close.
Don't think he deserved a firing squad though.

et que le beau temps s'en vienne vite... !

Ciau Alex, merci mon chum...
la tendinite est toujours là, mais l'envie de peintre remporte sur la douleur...
OUI, je ne suis plus capable avec le froid, j'espère que ça va se réchauffer sous peu..
Au plaisir mon ami

Hi Rod
Not my period but what a fantastic work you have done both with horse and figure , as said not my period but it made me read up on the guy what an interesting fellow in a turbulent period . Thank you for initiating an interesting bit of reading by posting this figure
Do you think he had a outfit commissioned to be shot in now that would be style
Cheers Chris

Ciau Chris,
Thank you very much my friend, appreciated your comment, as everybody else, it is very motivating.....You can go wrong with Metal Modeles-Napoleon Mounted figures, they are simple the best 54mm in the market.
Their horses are the best
Best regards

Rod.
