Beautiful painting, I especially like the great skintones and the gold metalics. is it acrylics and oils/ inks ?

Cheers Ken (y)

Welcome Ineluki,
wow, what a fine painting on Muwattalis!!! Beautiful painting, the face is an eyecatcher, briliant. From the rest: very, very good reds, but the gold parts are also fantastic!!! What technique did you use on metal? which colour? could you please share your approach to painting metals (gold)? Thanks.
R.L.

Thank all of you guys for the comments.
It's good to know, that there are other persons beside me and my family, who like my painting ;)

Ken, Robert - gold parts are painted in acrylics, basically two colours: old gold and gold from Vallejo. I started with base of english uniform + burnt umber (both Vallejo), then first layer of old gold, few washes of burnt umber, again old gold, wash of tamyia clear red (very diluted), some shading with english uniform, higlighting with gold.
And again washes, shading, higlighting with described colours - until I was happy with the result. For final higlighting I used gold mixed (about 50:50) with silver paint form Vallejo Game colour.

The armour was painted in slightly different manner - base colour old gold, highlihgting with gold (vallejo), but shading was done with several washes of GW tin bitz. I also used 2-3 washes of Tamiya clear red, to enrich the colour.

The painting process was rather chaotic, so it's really hard to me to present it in a clear way.

Tanks once again, and sorry for my english.

Very nice painting
have tried many times to paint with acrtlics, but the paint is hating me, I believe, it's always messed up. So I decided to paint only with oils and only for some detailwork I will use acrylics

Simon, welcome to the planet and beautiful painted figure!
Looking forward to see some more figures from you.

regards,
Marcel.

Cant see anything wrong with your english.

I'm pretty sure none of my english teachers would agree with you :)
Thanks anyway.

Bert, Marcel - thanks for your feedback.
Marcel - I know some of your works and very like it, especially Jan Le Bon from Elite (great model, isn't it ?).
I' ve painted Jan L.B. too, and must admit, your work was great inspiration for me and example to follow.

As you wish :)
But please keep in mind, this is still WIP
Model is before weathering, base isn't finished (actually it's not started yet:). I'm also going to repaint the hair and correct a few minor defects.
Although, I hope you'll like it :)
