Nice one ! (y)

He does look like the Red Baron, did you use a head from another Model Cellar kit ?

The head is from the "seated Richthofen" (Model Cellar MC32009) kit, designed to sit on the Roden Fokker Dr.I kit. While the standing figure is German two seater crew, kit 32014. I always try to make the heads separate so that modelers can make these simple head swaps to "personalize" their figures.

I also have a casting of this nice base by David. It looks great and i will be using it soon for one of my figures.....

This is what is, for me, what I strive to acive in figure painting. Very little or no bells & whistles, just exquisite painting of a (apparently) simple figure.

Top notch stuff.

Oh, now I see :) well, yes, that idea of swapping heads has occurred to me for your Billy Bishop figure - replacing the head with one of the other bare headed figures in the range and one gets a generic RFC pilot. I have purchased 3 Billy Bishops :)

Very nicely done indeed , beautifully painted and presented , I too really like the graduation of shading , top job
Cheers

Hi Dave,

Fantastic paint job! Will you be bringing this one over to MFCA? ...would love to see it in person. By the way, did you ever finish the Immelman wedgie - I think you were using the same wedgie base?

see you in 2 weeks.

Paul
