Hello everybody,

I would like to share a few pictures of my first sculpture I finished some time ago.

I was thinking about doing something out of the ordinary and this idea was in my mind for quite some time.

The scenery was done in plastic card and balsa wood, with some accesories coming from Verlinden and Historex.

The figure itself was sculpted in Magic Sculp and painted in Humbrol and oil colours.. and finished with a layer of my special va ®nish mixture...

I hope you like it

Some close-ups of the figure and the scenery:

Any comments on my sculpting and painting is very welcome ;)

Best wishes

Very sweet Bart....the anatomy is spot-on, the pose just right...and the way you have completed the painting to blend the figure in with his background with a 'chameleon-like' efficiency is just amazing... ;)

All the best...Roy.

  !!!! You've GOT to patent the " stuff " , Bart; the effect is amazing !!!! Cheers !
Kenneth :) .

What size is the figurine? Cannot quite figure out the scale. lol

Excellent idea, was about time to do a project like this.

Personally, I found the anatomy to be a bit off. The left arm seems a bit longer than the right......or is it the legs?

Neat idea Bart. Kinda takes the seriousness out of the hobby.

WOW! That is just fantastic. I'm at a loss as to how to sculpt something that looks like it's not there. Aside from amazing skill, what other tools are used to get such great results.~Gary

Hi Roy,

thank you for your compliments. Coming from a renowned sculptor like you they do mean a lot to me... :)

It only took 2 days to finish but it was a lot of fun.

Best wishes

Bart

Kenneth,

I already applied for a patent.

Who knows where it will lead to... Imagine a competition room filled with these guys...

Cheers

Bart

Hi Andreas,

I thought he was 54 mm.. But since he has been painted it's been impossible to measure the exact size..

Have fun

Regards

Bart

Hello Jim,

I know that when it comes to sculpting I still have a long way to go..

But I'm trying... Maybe one day I can get it right... hopefully

Kind regards

Bart

Hi Glenn,

I wouldn't say the painting is perfect.. I thought the skintone was a bit pale

Thanks for looking..

Bart

Dear Gary,

I just wanted to do something out of the ordinary. I was working on a diorama of the ACW and needed to take a short break. And this idea was in my mind for some time. So I thought why not...

I hopy it didn't offend you in any way. I know that you are a very dedicated and top class sculptor, and I certainly don't want to offend people who can make a better job of this than me. Since I know that I will never be able to sculpt a simple ball of putty into something that looks like a figure. So I stick to painting and from time to time some silly stuff like this one.

Best wishes

Bart, Not at all. I thought it quite a creative idea. We can get very serious about all of this and a lighthearted project like yours is refreshing.~Gary

Hi Gary,

I'm glad you appreciated it.

I sometimes try out something new to keep the fun in the hobby.

Thanks for looking and commenting

Best wishes
