OK now I understand better, thanks .

By the way, seeing your demo, it seems long and tedious to use an aerograph
Just the time needed for washing !.... you could read "War and Peace"
The suicide level will increase :D

In my country that comment would be taken as rude. You seem to have a very negative attitude on this forum especially to this guy who has posted for the first time and you may have made it his last.I'm 66 years old and I always try to be friendly and with an open mind to other peoples postings.Sounds like your a bit of a grumpy old man!Try to lighten up.

That was interesting. I'll have to try one of these new fangled devil tools one day.
Cheers

Mark you're nearer the truth than you know.
I've used the little 'blowpipe' that you bend at right angles and dip the lower tip into thin paint / ink and blow through the other end to create a spray.
I have on occasion forgotten that you breathe in before you put your mouth to the pipe......it's not too bad with paint but ink makes a right mess of your gob :arghh:

That smiley is superb Del, I thought it was an interesting little vid myself, I'd like to try an air brush (under adult supervision) one of the days

I think Mirof didn't realize that there was an enable hyperlink but was looking for an embedded image. I thought the same thing at first, till my eye focused and I realized that there was a link.

A post-script...

And now, looking at the first couple of posts, I see I missed the second one, and I shouldn't have said anything, I apologize for mixing in.

Hello everyone, I prepared a game for you to win the airbrush, but shhh it's a secret.

My apologize
I hadn't see that there was a link hidden in ' my first time with an airbrush"
I've seen the demo and found it interesting ( and well made ) . Again thanks for sharing . But after seeing the demo, I realize : this is not for me; to much manipulation, to much time spend in preparing , cleaning etc ... absolutely not for me, too long, I'm not patient enough... I have some resin lying in the drawers, because the preparation time, cleaning, sanding, filling gaps,... is .... just boring . That's why I like the section "open box" I remeber buying the Verlinde " machien gunner in a airplane" , I opened it, I set all parts on the bench and asked myself : where the hell are all those piece going ( no instruction sheet, sort of ), I closed the box and gave it to a friend .
So thanks again for showing me that buying an airbrush would be a bad idea for me . Or I have to open the window before throwing it out .

in fact, I also thought the airbrush was not for me.
but after trying, it's super fast and easy.
I show in the video as the day of my first time.

It is a well made video. But I think it is just wasting too much time to airbrush a tiny figure not to mention preparation, cleaning and wasting too much colour. You also need an air pressure and filter gauge for the set up plus you need to wear an air filter face mask to protect your lungs.

Sorry Yellowcat, but why is it a waste of time to do a small figure if it gets the desired effect for the painter. As to cleaning up it is far quicker than you think. you can certainly waste paint if you mix it as in the video but you can also mix in the AB cup and with practice use only the paint you need. For modelling purposes you do not need a fancy filter or air pressure gauge and the compressor he was using, which is designed for nail artists is fine for casual model work. Face mask with acrylics not needed either if you use in the right environment and with common sense. I agree that it is not for everybody and I do not want to start any arguments over the subject but just wanted to say that if it works for you then do it.
