Hi guys ,
i'm just back from work.Thank you very much for yours comment.
In september i went to the Euromiltaire where i met Diego Ruina(look gallery at Pegaso models.com).His work is fantastic.Diego paint in acrylics.Since acrylic colour can't be blended he starts with the dark shadow's colour and then woks his
way to the lightest parts keeping the paint thin in some cases just very cotrolled
washes. So i did. This is just my second figure painted in acrylics.I've always used
enamels for 1-35 and oils for bigger scales. The tartan was painted in vallejo.
Once the figure was primed using citadel white i've painted first the squares or rettangles for the trouses the reds.I've used dark reddish brown first.I've kept the paint thin to avoid any build up.At this point i had brown squares on a white
background. Then to make sure that the spacying between them was correct
i've visualised white lines on a brown backgrond The white lines must look all
the same thickness.Ecceses in the size of the brown squares can be corrected
at the time of painting inside the white lines.Next step was painting the brown squares gradually to a red, i've used the same metod then to paint inside the white lines, for the trouses light brown.
I'm running out of space here...I hope that this will be helpful to you
Good luck
Roberto
