Hi folks,

an idea for some time now. And now the idea takes shape.

The basic vehicle will be the 1:35 Bell helicopter from Revell

Together with these very nice figures from Legend and Bravo 6

At the moment the aircraft and the figures are primed and painting has started...

The interior has to be finished first.

vp-06.jpg

The pilotes from Bravo 6 are much better as the figures that came with the revell kit

Painting is not finished though - eyes will be fixed, helmets weathered, etc.

This machine-gunner is almost finished, still some finishing necessary

vp-10.jpg

A wounded comrade is recovered ...

vp-11.jpg

... while other soldiers are attacking the enemy

and some still debarking from the Heli

vp-09.jpg

The diorama base is a swamp and shallow water ground

The base is far from being finished, strictly speaking it is still in the trial and error state.
I am experementing with the water. Later when the Helicopter will be in place the water below the Heli should be swirling

vp-15.jpg

The Heli will be a few inches above the water, still in the air.
I am also experementing with the rotor, trying to show them in motion.
Any tipps very welcome !!

Don't expect this project to be finished soon.
I have set myself a timeline up until christmas.:)

Cheers

Certainly a very time consuming work.Inspired and well planned,it will look fantastic when finished.Keep us updated Robert.

Oda.

Looking good so far, quite the ambitious project!
However, you're mixing US Marines with Army soldiers......usually that didn't happen.....but if you're fine with it, by all means please continue, I'm looking forward to seeing it finished!

Hmm. You are right. A thing I didn't think about before. So there are 3 Marines and 5 Army soldiers. 2 Marines wounded. How about this - the Marines were on the ground alreay and in deep trouble, the army helicopter with a rescue team came to
support the Marines and take them out.
A bit constructed, anyway I will give it a try.:D

Cheers Robert
