Took a break from painting Caster and started this little fellow from Alexandros Models.
I liked this one from the moment i saw it here at the planet, although i can see some peoples' view about it being a bit fantasy (well he actually looks like a body builder with tits). The kit comes with the helmet and half of the face. So i sculpted the head (warning first time trying to sculpt anything), with some advice from my good friend Chris Panagiotopoulos, and then i thought about taking it a step further and painting the head bold. Alot of work to be done on this one but i think you get the idea. Criticism always welcomed.
Regards

Nice work on converting the head Dimitrios and fantastic paintwork, i really like this figure it has something very appealing to the eye, i can see why you was attracted to it.

What a incredible fleshtones Dimitrios, you do magic with the gladiator my friend.(y)

freaking fantastic work. I'll be watching this one progress as I have my eye on this figure also. Did you sculpt the face also?

Thank you all for your comments. I m really glad you like this one, cause i really have my worries.
Mike my friend, the kit comes with the face cut just above the eyebrows. It s a fantastic face to be concealed under the helmet IMO. But you can still attache the helmet without the front face part and have the face visible.

Yeah it looks like a great face that would be a shame to cover with the helmet. Great job on the reconstruction of the head.

Wonderful

Really excellent work Dimitrios . The skin tones could not be better !!

Dimitrios, I have to say your tricks of highlight and shading are absolutely glorious. If this results in painted subjects looking a touch too 'Arnold', so be it. Rich depth and wide range of tones are always celebrated in this hobby and other visual art.

Since this very kit depicts a muscular person, this painting style pays off in every way. In fact, the frontal view of the torso is so well rendered it almost matches state-of-the-art computer graphics that populate Hollywood productions.

Finally, look fwd to learning more about the 'Morning Star' project.

Άλλη μια απίστευτη δουλειά σου Δημήτρη ξεκινά. Ανυπομονώ για τη συνέχεια...

Συγχαρητήρια!!!

Dimitrios, what a wonderful start on this fine figure! I think, that the flesh tones are like always a high class, but the face and head is wonderful and much needed inspiration for me. Looking forward for more pictures:)
