Are NameIt still really using this system for ordering plates?

http://www.nameitplates.co.uk/order_form.htm

It just seems like an incredibly "turn of the millennium" way of doing things (the whole web site layout, writing cheques, printing off forms etc.)

I also see that their Facebook page hasn't been updated since last summer. Are they even still going?

I've decided that my best pieces deserve the final finishing touch in the form of a plate, and I just want to check that everything is as it should be before placing my first ever order with them.

Hi Steve, Name-it are still very much in business, I usually send an E.Mail to them with the appropriate references, Size, Type face, Borders etc together with the text and they can happily work from that. I also pay by Bank Transfer direct to their account. The whole process is very simple mate.

I have used them recently and agree they are a bit retro but their quality, prices and service are very good.
I don't know but suspect this is a sideline not the main business.

Hi All,
Yes we are still going!
Planned so far for this year, we will be at Crewe, Darlington, BMSS Annuals (We run them), World Expo, Euro, Telford and Sevres.
I haven't updated the website for a bit because we don't actually have anything new this year to advertise. To add a shop for the many variations of size, finish, font, borders. corners and description plus any non-standard sizes I have found to be a bit of a pain (see nameitplates.com....) so have instead plumped for email ordering or staying with order form which can be downloaded from the website and payment by cheque (Which actually a lot of our customers prefer) .
We issued an updated catalogue last year with all the details if you want to email us your address.
As has been said, the easiest way to order is by email and pay by PayPal or bank transfer (We accept credit cards over the phone as well).

PS. making name plates for modellers is my main engraving activity. I am a modeller (A long-standing contributor to "Toy Soldier and Model Figure" Kit Corner and the Hon. Treasurer of BMSS, Julie is the Hon. Secretary) and that is how I got into doing the plates for like minded people.
