Almost finished this figure from Alexandros Figures. 75 mm white metal.
Painted in oils. Some printers ink added to the sword.
More work to be done on the belt, sword, and shawl.
Critics as Always welcome. Never to old to learn.

I do like this,I saw it recently at the BMSS nationals, the figure seems very tall though for Bonaparte, however it's still a brilliant piece and one I will probably get

Why do you say it seems tall for Bonaparte? Napoleon was slightly above average height for the time (5'6") and the portrayal of him as a dwarf was a propaganda item. Just wondering...

Cheers

Hi, how did you do the gold braid? What paints, etc did you use?

It's a process:
I start with acrylic Gold Yellow (Vallejo), wash of oil Burnt Umber. Let is dry for some days.
Put oil Golden Ocre on various spots. Let it dry again
Then give it a wash of acrylic paint of gold, to give it a shiny tone.
Then a wash with Burnt Umber added.
After drying again. I put some small marks of oil paint; a mixture of Napels Yellow and Titanium White.

Hope you get it done. Need some patience doing this :);)
