Hello my friends
I post some progress of this spectacular figure of Ellie. Maurice Corry has done a great work as always and I am very proud of painting again one of his sculptures. Thanks Ian for your trust on my brushes.

Looks like a very nice figure. Just a small point about the lettering on the flag: although sans serif typefaces did exist at the time (grotesques), all the references I've seen show the Guard's flags with serif lettering. These serifs have not been sculpted on the flag and will require some work to look properly authentic. Would love to be proved wrong so, if anyone knows different, please say.

Yes is true, but I have painted only the letters sculpted, if I paint the serif maybe they could not be good and the finishing of painting maybe was not good...Anyway maybe Ian wants I do it, I dont know.

Hi Jeff thanks for the info did not think of that I don't think Moz did ether our fault. it can be put right with paint but can't do it on the castings now. but it is something to remember for the future. Thanks for the kind words Brian, Juan is doing a great job as always. it's great to see some paint on him. it's going to look great on the web site when done.

Cheers

ian
