National american indian clothing difference

I has been confused. Do you know what clothing difference in between national Indian - Sioux and Crow? I knew they were difference tribe and I had had search a lot of picture. But I cannot identify the big difference from their cloth... (see attachment). Because I need to convert the "Kicking bear" Sioux (PiliPili) to Crow clothing...

Sorry, I'm not good with Indian history but I'm trying to understand.

Very little difference in the clothing items themselves from tribe to tribe. The tribal identity is shown in the decorations such as bead/quill work and feather arrangements. Very subtle.
The patterns and colors of the beadwork show distinctions. Our friend Guy Herrick is probably as close to an expert on this subject as anyone I know. Guy?

Yes, I hope Guy will chime in for your sake. As for some of the distinctive decorative details Steve has mentioned already, the Crows were/are prolific with the bead and quill work. I know they used a lot of triangular and hourglass shapes in the designs and typically used white borders around designs often to make them more visually impressive. A favorite color combination was dusty pinkish rose and light blue. Also, this one you are working on appears to have a full head-dress though if he did not, the frontal up-do and 3 or more braids often worn by the men could be other distinguishing features. Hope this helps for now.

I think it has already been said , there wasn't much difference clothing for the plains Indians but a lot of difference in the colour and patterns in the bead work . Steve is probably your best source for information but I will help you as much as the books I have allow .
