Boy and Girls, I am currently looking for small-ish fish for a project I am working on. I have the Micro Gillman (Creature from the Black Lagoon) figure and I would like a fish to go on the base with him. He is slightly larger than 54mm, I don't know his exact scale. I would prefer a fresh water fish, pirahah would be ideal as he is from a creepy South American/Amazonian lagoon. Does anyone know of any sources for these? I actually only want one for the base but if there is a source for several LMK. I know, I know....I can always sculpt one, but I am no sculptor and would prefer to get one already done and ready to paint if at all possible! Thanks in advance for any help anyone can be!!!!!!

Hey Jay,

I know that Ulrich Puchala has them (trout, bass and so forth) but I don't think they have a web site. Red Lancers carries thier products so you may want to check with them. Also, some of the Tamiya Dinosaur diorama sets have them. Though they are prehistoric, you may be able to find some of them to use. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

it always amazes me this website, there is bound to be somebody who knows where to get something.... no matter what

Hi Jay
Just happened by a diorama in the local hobby shop. It featured an old pond full of junk as well as fish, ducks etc. The wildlife he used were model railroad accessories!! Some of it might be a bit small but I think it would work with a 54mm figure!

Sambaman,

can you direct me to a picture of the creature?

I'd like to have one but never wanted one of those big garage kits or the Aurora release.

Apart from Puchala I think Hecker&Goros also might have some small animals.

Why don't you try to make those fish yourself with magic sculpt for instance?
I know you said you did not really want to do that but it should be fairly easy to do I guess.

Did you have a look at marijn van gils diorama (santa's coming to town)? there are some fishes in the water. He made those himself.

Cheers

Philippe
