Having problems getting a flat finish while using Model Master Flat Clear Acryl. I've tried airbrushing as well as using a brush. No matter what I do or try I still get get a slight shine.

Does anyone have an idea as to why or what I could use instead?

Obvious question but are you shaking or stirring it thoroughly? Most matt varnishes need really good mixing to come up to their full potential.

From what I've read in articles (and to judge from the photos) Model Master Flat Clear is a pretty decent matt finish.

Thanks everyone. Up till recently I've only dealt with enamels due to the fact my main focus has been 1/35 scale military vehicles and the Model Masters enamels and even its clear flat I've never had problems.
