Well Simon they are so very very tempting lol. In all honesty they are a good set of figures they are very interesting in the history of the formations. They were like in my observations a forerunner of the Pals regiments from the Great War. The early part of the war seems to be drawing men from towns and cities to form Bands. But in doing so they have given us some fantastic uniform studies .

Indeed they have, oh so very many and that's the problem, I try to be somewhat disciplined in my approach, sticking to one era and limited nations. I think that helps me focus on what I really want to do, then bang up pops yet another brilliant figure to tempt me. I'll be ordering the French Hussar staff officer at the end of the month, now my daughter's wedding is over and done I'll actually have some money to spend on myself for a change. The other issue is I've never painted a figure much larger than 54mm before. Oh well when the muse beckons.

Cheers Simon

TFB are on a roll, another outstanding and different ACW figure. Any idea on what the parts count will be on the production figure.

This looks amazing Steve, definitely one to add to my (rapidly expanding) collection. I don't suppose there are plans to produce it as a bust like the other ACW figure?

Another interesting uniform New York Independant Battalion Enfant Perdus

Hi Stefan, thank you for the kind words , we have not thought about a bust with this one. The Mississippi was so different that we went with it. Who knows if enough people want it we will do it.

The next in the range is going to be a Lone Star Rifleman 4th Texas inf 1861? That will be out next month do as you can see we are expanding the range as it’s a good group of figures and lots of scope .

We will keep you all informed on what is coming. The photos you guys send are not being ignored we are just working out what we think will be good subjects to do in the range.

Very nice indeed. The next figure I think I might have said is the Lone Star Rifleman 4th Texas Inf 1861. That will be the next in the range.

We always take note of what you send us and it helps with the design of our next figure. We have quite a few in the line now and that’s a big thank you . But we will get through what we have in time. It’s a range that we are going to grow and grow along side our other subjects. So please keep them coming it’s good to know that we are on the right lines .

What I would really love to see is one of the lance-armed cavalry regiments, I think there were six or seven early in the war, most of them Texans.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Steve,
Three old photographs of different confederate uniforms in 1861 that could make interesting figures. Regrettably, I haven't been able to find the colour of the facings and tapes. Perhaps, our American cousins with access to other sources may be able to shed light on them.

Wow!!! Guys such a diverse range for us to have a go at. This along with all the stuff we have researched should keep the range going for a while to come. Their is a interest in the unusual uniforms so we are going to continue with this range.

Keep the info coming we love it here
