Hi all here is the next release from TFB Miniatures. It’s a 75mm Confederate navy officer 1862. It’s sculpted by our good friend Greg Girault.

Thier is just a little bit of tidying up then he will be heading for the casters. It’s something different to add to the ever expanding ACW range of figures.

We will keep you updated on the release date for this.

Hi Steve

Interesting and different subject , looks good in 3D sure the resin will be the same

If I may think it might work better with a sword or weapon in hand

Plenty to paint including the deck

Thanks for sharing

This is very nice, something different for the modeller.
I look forward to seeing the updated version, although I quite like the figure holding onto the rigging, so perhaps
that and a version holding his pistol.

Malc

Hi Malc we are busy looking stuff up and so far we have seen rigging very similar to what’s been done, waiting for more info . But it is very nice as it is. So we shall see what info we can come up with.

Looks great but to my eye there's a bit of an imbalance. Losing the third set of rigging to the left better centres the figure.
As it stands for me the rigging dominates the scene.
Belter though.
Cheers

Hello Steve. Indeed the rope is not well rendered. Here are some pictures taken from the MCPWick link. Hope it helps.

Hi Steve
A Captain in the CSA navy, now thats a little different and a nice looking figure.
As Malc said ,you may wish to consider additional arm holding a pistol. With regard to the rigging l feel ropes should have a more spiral looking as shown in Bran’s pictures. Also on the rigging section he is holding on to, the bottom section blocks etc are secured by a single rope around the metal pin ,which does not seem right.

Looking forward to another great release.
