Ebroin really becomes a major name of the sculpture.
These achievements are truly wonders.
Again, congratulations.
And I'm stingy with compliments!
Joachim Murat, a man of my little French department, the Lot (where there have been great men, and especially good wine), a small town called Labastide-Fortunière (now Labastide-Murat).
A son of an innkeeper became king.
Worthy of a Hollywood script, like what the writers have has read the history to write their scenario.
And in addition Ebroin, was shown him in one of its " most simple" uniform, the Grand Duke of Cleves.
A wonder to buy for Christmas.

Gorgeous portrait of Murat, on a par with the best recent work from the leaders if the pack. I don't see how the face could be bettered and the painting is wonderful.

It is slightly marred for me because the sculptor has put the end of the coat decoration on top of the upper order of chivalry rather than beside as shown in the painting. I keep looking at it trying to figure out how that could work or be adjusted. Only an issue if you are a Napoleonic rivet counter I guess.

You know, its been bugging me for some time, as I was trying to figure out how that works, as I assumed the stars may have been embroided, otherwise it didnt add up.

But since you pointed this out I had a closer look at protrait and it makes sense. I think it is possible to convert, but will require some skill.. I would be using stamps made from Magic sculpt and move the star out a bit.

But overall impression from the bust is soooo good. Sculpted likeness doesnt guarantee likeness to real person as painting often isnt up to scratch. In this case- both painting and sculpting marry well and result speaks for itself.
