I don't really like the flow of this - looks a bit arbitrary - but it's beautifully done and makes a welcome change from the usual posing of a Napoleonic figure.

Great figure and Marshal Ney is one of my favourite Marshals of Napoleon. There are many written accounts of Ney wearing his Marshals Uniform with everything on it and ofcourse based on many famous paintings from the retreat from Moskou. Marshal Ney made his fame and glory during this retreat by holding the Russians so Napoleon could escape with many as possible. Some grenadiers and Hussars and it would give a nice setting.

Yes, I agree with Jan. At least two more figures and that would make a wonderful vignette. Nevertheless I like this one alone too. Probably I will be picking it up soon.

My first reaction was I want this but then I was put off by the crazy plumage on the bicorne....that would have to go! Still, if I see a copy this side of the pond I will pick him up.You can never have too may models of Le Rougeaud!

Very nice figure, face doesn't quite resemble Marshal Ney though but that's me being picky. You could also maybe add a beard as contemporary accounts have him sporting a scruffy red beard during the retreat.
