These are two really nice figures. Now if we can just get you guys to reply to emails of where we can buy Andrea products in the states the world will be right again.

Thanks for posting the news. And I look forward to hopefully getting a local supplier of this fine line of figures.

Andrea Figures

Andrea Figures are available from Michigan Toy Soldier, Colorado Miniatures and Red Lancers to name just a few.

Does the German neck look alittle to long/weird. I know he is looking around a corner but to me it still looks alittle long.

While I can certianly understand the "another German and Pirate" feelings (I have them too). We also need to understand the "company and economy" feelings too.

I would LOVE to see other figures released. It's just that with the economy? I'm sure there are a lot of other painters just like me who just dont buy anywhere near the figures we used to. I, honestly, find myself waiting several months before buying a figure now. A tip I picked up from a friend in OK is to wait until the end of the year and then choose from all the figures that were released. Saves money, shelf space and eases up on the Grey Army.

I'm in this for the hobby but companies like Andrea are in this for the buisness. As much as we (including myself) might like to see other figures released? Germans and pirates only do one thing. They SELL! So I can understand why Andrea has released these. In fact, with the economy, I wonder why other companies don't do the same with their releases?

With all that said.....I like the 2 releases from Andrea. I find them a nice "twist" on two otherwise well beaten subjects.

I agree with you Jim. I can understand that producers will continue on a theme. Hopefully the demand for a change in genre will happen.
Carl.

Love the German. And suspect this does not fall into the 3rd Reich range, but instead in the general 90mm line, since the face sculpt style is markedly different from that series.

Very well said, Jim. For once a painter who puts himself in the shoes of a manufacturer.

I personally dont mind another billion German figures coming my way. I'd personally like some more quality Soviet subjects but I won't protest to the dominant market trend. The only thing I do not tolerate, and inevitably have provoked arguments, is when the major players we so very much rely on get lazy on aspects such as face sculpts, destroying the individuality of otherwise rather buyable kits.

Like the kits in general...but I have to agree with Ryall there is something weird about the German's neck. Guess I will wait for further info, at the prices Andrea charges.

The Pirate looks very nice to me. Not my cup of tea, but I like it.

The german soldier looks very well sculpted and also very funny. Sorry, but in my opinion the sculptor has no military experiences...especially as an infantry soldier.

One of the first lessons I had to learn during my days in the service as a soldier of the light infantry was: The weapon always has to look in the same direction like the eyes of the soldier.
In such a position the soldier will never be able to react on anything that happens in front of him - he will never be able to set a shot in the needed direction. A real rookie !!!

Finally this is an exsample for a soldier seconds before he will be killed....but perhaps this was the target of the sculptor...

Sorry, just my two cents... ;)
