My Mother in Law gave me some money to buy myself a birthday present, so picked up this one from the Stoke model show -

1/10th Samurai Horse Bust - lots of resin, looks awesome

And then won this one on eBay for £49, bit of a bargain really - Tommy's War TW32S01 – ‘L’ Battery RHA and the action at Néry, 1st September 1914

Both look terrific, Steve. Good luck with them. The samurai looks especially interesting - and challenging. I look forward to seeing the finished products.

I built the Tommy's War 13 pdr (the one you have) and didn't have any major problems. However, you have to scratchbuild some of the brake gear from rod and I found that confusing until I found the original manual which shows how these go together, and also give you a good view of the rear so you can see where all the cases on the gunshield go. I've attached a couple for future reference.

I did keep the brake rods fairly simple (just plain rod, I didn't bother with some of the linkages) and it looks fine with the figures around it.

Seems i have woken a sleeping monster with this one lol. I wondered what one of the diagrams on the instructions was for !
