Faded and weathered like the rest and it will look great. I suppose at some point even salty old dogs like this had a clean item of clothing, but it wouldn't look right!

Can you believe it took me two and a half hours to build up the basecoat.Faded and weathered like the rest and it will look great. I suppose at some point even salty old dogs like this had a clean item of clothing, but it wouldn't look right!

Sometimes the paint just doesn't want to co-operate which is very frustrating. Looking forward to seeing you do your magic on it.Can you believe it took me two and a half hours to build up the basecoat.
I'm hoping to make a start on toning it down tomorrow, I think it'll take
a couple of sessions to get it where I want it.
As you say it wouldn't look right it looked new.

I couldn't agree more... this is looking fantastic so far!Being tardy, as of late, I've missed the last few updates, but wow, pretty dang sweet, Malc! This is turning out to be a hum-dinger, as they say!
Ruck Onward, Malc!

Cheers Bran. The base of the coat is excellent, I really like this choice of color. Once patinated, worn, it will be just perfect.
Cheers Bran.
My apologies for taking a while to reply, unfortunately I've been unwell and just getting back on my feet now.
Although I did like the colour initially, and I appreciate your faith in me to tone and weather it down.
But after careful consideration I opted for a slightly different shade of grey.
Fingers crossed I can post a progress report soon.
