Andy, that thought occurred to me when I first saw this one as well. It seems to have that look and some very smooth edged detail.

"Smooth edged detail" is not necessarily a "quality" of a digital sculpt. It can also connote careful craftsmanship in a hand-made model. That is what i have always strived for.....

Well whatever the 'qualities' of a 3d sculpt are, this piece 'appears' to have them. Perhaps it's so early into this technology that we haven't yet created the appropriate terms to describe those qualities.
But as I said, whatever the method used this is still an excellent sculpt and a piece which will obviously become a classic of it's time.

BTW Mike, have you dabbled with the new digital method of sculpting at all?

I am fairly sure that this is not a digital piece. Just perfect through the old fashioned method.
