I'll be picking this one up for sure. I've had my eye on this since it was announced. I believe they have another release of GIs coming soon too.

Since they retooled the weapons, I wonder if they retooled any of the gear. I've had a problem with their entrenching tools for the last few US kits. For some dumb reason they went from one that was correct to something that I could find no documentation for.

John, They are releasing a 29th Inf Div D-Day set. If it is as nice as the support set the figures would really sing after giving the figures Hornet heads. here is the line drawing.~Gary

Is it just me or have Dragon's figures recently improved dramatically in quality? and ill definetley be getting at least 2 packs of each! :)

Thanks Gary. I looked around Dragon's site for a while and couldn't find it. A six figure set no less. I look forward to that one. What do you think, a June 6th release? There's some interesting uniform features for the recoilless crew; buttoned trouser legs over the boots, and carbine pouches sewn to the jacket sleeves.

John, I believe the D-Day set is slated for a June release in addition to a re-release of some of the older Allied and Axis sets depicting units from the Normandy campaign. If you notice in the 29th Inf Div line drawing a couple of figures are even wearing life belts, a neat touch.~Gary

I agree a nice touch. I didn't notice it at first. Personally, I hope they omit them on most of the set. I feel it limits the set to the first few hours of fighting. The Rangers set included them as well as gas mask and such. For me this stuff is more easily added than removed. I am thrilled that DML has given us a couple of US sets as well as the SAS set of recent. So it's not so much complaining as wishful thinking.

DML puts out some great stuff, but they always seem to go overboard with the
equipment straps, they should keep it simple and leave the rest to us.
