hello everyone!!!
I am about to start a new figure for Spearhead Miniatures- any suggestions for subject/scale???? The most popular gets da putty!!!
Cheers all!!!
Pete

I have always thought this would make a great figure, especially in a larger scale!
Seriously, he is carrying a M-1, a bazooka, a skinning knife on his belt, a bayonet on his boot, still wearing his jumpsuit -probably from Market-Garden! I will buy 2 or three myself!!!
The website quotes "December 24, 1944-"Battle of the Bulge"- - An entire U.S. Armored division was retreating from the Germans in the Ardennes forest when a sergeant in a tank destroyer spotted an American digging a foxhole. The GI, PFC Martin, 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, looked up and asked, "Are you looking for a safe place?" "Yeah," answered the tanker. Well buddy," he drawled, "just pull your vehicle behind me....I'M THE 82ND AIRBORNE, AND THIS IS AS FAR AS THE BASTARDS ARE GOING."

us fig

Hi Micheal
Thanks for the idea and pic!
I have ww2 us figures penciled in for the future-I'm not sure how viable this one would be although I do like it!!!
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,

don't know how much commercial interest would be in the subject, but some on a not covered modern conflict, eg. Iraq-Iran conflict, Yugoslavia in the '90-s or an African subject? Regulars, militias?
Don't know what size you prefer, I'd whish for bigger scales. What do you think? :)

fig ideas

Hi Denes
Same again-got some modern figures in mind!!! I really have to be careful with a release as i don't want to live in the woods again!! I personaly like the more offbeat subjects such as the wars in croatia etc but.... maybe later eh!!!
Thanks for the imput tho mate!! Cheers!!

Carl-check ur pm's!!!!

Hi Denes
I personaly like the more offbeat subjects.

Hey Pete,

I have got one for you: Hitler and I think the other chap is Mussolini.

This would make a nice little two figure set. If I wasn't already booked up with commissions, I would do it myself! What do you say mate?

Cheers!!

Mike

Dear Pete 120mm British !! or soviet

Hello Pete, this is a great thread to start,i am just a hobbyist who wishes he had the skill to create unique figures.........
in 90mm - 120mm
How about WW2 British/ allied commandos - Maybe middle east commando, Layforce covering the reargaurd on crete Or no10 inter allied commando, another great composition with a gap in the market would be A Red army scout as for the film Zvezda, or a decent rendition of vasily zaitzev the stalingrad master sniper or Sov naval infantry at sevastopol, i dont have a scanner but i would give you my osprey books relating to no10 interallied and send you the Zvezda DVD (cracking russian film), another possibility would be foreign legion at Bir hakiem or a Desert rat from ww2, maybe something really obscure like popskis private army in italy ??

Whatever you choose good luck, how can i buy spearhead miniatures ?

Best Regards Kirky

If you want the book or Film PM me with your adress

Glad to see the frogs are still in your box MIke !

Pete bag o weasels on the way !

Hecky- the last bag of weasels I had were thrown on the fire-jumped about like a suicide bomber on Guy Fawkes Night!!!!

Hello again

Hi Pete ww2 Brit commanodo or soviet scout or sniper in 120mm , you know it makes sense !!! or alternatively how about one of our lads in Afghanistan armed with Sa80 UGL / or minimi , a tribute to lads that fight hard !! (would have a market with hobbyists and as a regimental presentation i am sure

whatever you do i am sure to buy it !

Best Regards

Kirky

Hey Pete,

How about something from the WW2 Pacific front? There have been a couple of PTO releases over the past few months: I reckon we couple be seeing growth there over the next year or 2.
