Thanks to Mick (mick3272) who came up with the idea, and contributed the first material we now have a new forum section dedicated to Uniform Reference. Also big thanks to Babelfish for his help in designing and organizing it.
You can find it at the bottom of the forum list or using this link:
http://www.planetfigure.com/categories/uniform-reference.129/
The forums are divided into 20 categories by era with additional 'Miscellaneous' to manage contributions not related to any specific time.
Anyone can post, however all new posts will have to be approved before appearing in the forums. We want to keep it organized! Frequent contributors will be invited to an Editors group to help oversee the project.
The posting guidelines (also drafted by Mick):

The aim of the Uniform Reference Section is to share Photographic images, or Movie Clips believed to be authentic items of actual Uniforms or Equipment Only.
These reference threads are not intended for discussion, should you wish to engage in discussion please initiate a separate post in an appropriate forum.
Posting.
If you wish to post an image. eg 11th Hussars Jacket C 1854. Go to the relevant Era (Crimea). Look to see if a thread already exists, if YES post image in existing thread, if NO create a thread 11th Hussars ( Prince Albert’s Own). and post your image. In some era’s you may feel that there not enough images to warrant a Regiment having its own thread, so you may feel it best to post under Groupings i.e. in the Napoleonic Era, you would post British Light Cavalry or French Heavy Cavalry .
Posts should contain the following: Heading, image/s, Description and any relevant information.
