I think that the painting was not the model but - you can see it in the missing green verge - this PR campaign by the POW / MIA association in Lithuania on the country's
independence day ...:

Many,many moons ago this theme got Best of Show at EuroMilitaire,done by a guy named Eddy Mirfin???
It´s on the backpage from Verlinden´s Warpaint magazine.
 
I've been to that Wall. It's pretty tough on me, two family members on it. But both went back, knew the risks. Still sad.

Jep, War Paint, Best of Show of Euro Militaire 1993, "Yesterdays Comerades" by E. Merfin.

Eddy even used a brownish tinted acrylic plate with the names engraved on it.
Through the semi-transparency you can see some of his comrades from Nam in uniform.

Searching for a photo of it, can anyone help...?
