Hi Forumites,

my name is Hans, I am 53 years old. I started with flats when I was 15, but then there was a long interruption when I "only" did aircraft modelling. But in 1990 I started again, with mediveal, roman and ancient themes. To be honest, my first goal is to get a historical correct figure and research is for me more fun than painting. I can spent hours for hours with books and in museum, but I can't spent hours for painting a nose shadow in the afternoon sun. I do make my own creations and large scale dioramas and large scale models up to 1:1 scale. My very special theme are the celts, but any other prehistoric themes are of high interest also. With roman and mediveal themes I would describe me as an ambitious amateur, but not a specialist.
Nice to be here!

Welcome Hans
Great to have a knowledgeable 'amateur' on board. Don't be modest I'm sure I've seen some of your contributions to debates on historical accuracy and these have always been courteous and informative.

Derek

Thank you, guys, for the warmth welcome! I have been reading now thru the latest threads and I am fascinated, really. Due to my laziness and my other hobbies I am not toooooo productive, so don't expect 25 projects from me per month....
