Hello All-
My name is Matt McKeeby and I just registered at PF after browsing the site for the past few months. I went to MFCA last week end and it really inspired me. I've been painting figures since I was a teenager (I'm now 37). I had the good fortune to live near Harrisburg PA back then where I met Bob Santos who provided me with lots of information and inspiration.

Seeing all the work on display at MFCA was great, and I really enjoyed the chance to chat with other painters. I entered two vignettes, The Fellowship and The Death Struggle, if anyone remembers seeing them. It was a great first show for me.

I'd love to hear from any other painters in the Albany NY area!

Welcome to the planet Matt. Bob Santos has given alot of us some inspiration with his modeling as well as the Phoenix line, and other lines he used to carry under "Santos Miniatures". I met Bob years ago and always enjoyed my conversations with him.

Welcome to the Planet! I bought many a Historex kit from Bob Santos. I was fortunate enough to visit his home during a cross country trip back in the seventies. He was definately an inspration to me in my early years of figure painting.

I saw the picture of the Fellowship on the web page hosting MFCA photos. I assume it is the one under the glass dome? The picture lost something from the glare of the glass. Can you post some pics of your work?

Welcome, Matt, from the Western Mass. painters (Walt Damon, Pat Deluhery, Pete Dawson, Herb Forgey and Ron Harrison).

I would encourage you to post some "Death Struggle" pics here, and perhaps a brief word about the engineering involved with this great piece.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but you might think about coming over to the Springfield area next March for ValleyCon, where we would love to see your excellent work. Only a 1.5 hour drive, a great selection of vendors for a local IPMS show, and figures and dios judged on an Open System basis.

But enough about us - welcome to the Planet, and thanks for bringing your work to MFCA for us to enjoy!
