I paint commission figures and bust all day long every day. I always have a backlog averaging 10 to 12 pieces. I have the full range of scale 75 paint sets as well as the full sets of Andrea and Lifecolour sets as well as some Vallejo, I find the colour sets a real help with saving lots time trying to get mixes right and find it easy to go back to days later and continue with the same colours without any deviation in the base colour shadows or highlights, I find it very convenient for what I do.

For the successful professional figure painter coping with a persistent backlog, where speed and consistency are so vital,
ready mixed paint is clearly essential - saving time is the name of the game. Manufacturers and Distributors of said paint
are trying to sell the stuff so naturally will try and tempt us as much as possible. The average hobbyists who do this stuff
for the pure joy of it take their choice. I merely point out the greater satisfaction to be had by mixing your own colours and
by discovering how wonderfully simple that process is.

Agree. There are some colours more difficult to work. I hate my red goes to orange or pink, and IMO this set could be helpfull for a lot of people with the same thought. Since i discovered with red ink i can put highlights for saturation i've got my problem solved, so i will not buy it. About the quallity of painting, i've never used, but some friends bought recently and are happy with AK paints.

All is relative Fogie. Is my hobbie, but i don't have the time i want to spend painting, so sometimes i'm tentated to buy a colour set to save time

A fair point albeit subjective - I know of a couple of people who merely like to build things and not paint them!

Cheers
