At first I thought that this was a figure of General "Chinese" Gordon of Khartoum, but it obviously isn't! Is he HLI, Gordon Highlanders or another Colonel Gordon?

Yes, I thought that I should give the tartan a go, seeing as I've been living in Scotland for a year now. You should be able to hear me screaming in Leeds!

Well, I tried to sculpt a Lieutenant Colonel of Gordon Highlanders during the Tyrah campaign.
We studied some other options before, like HLI...

I'm confused. Is this an officer of the Highland Light Infantry or of the Gordon Highlanders? They are (were) different regiments.

Hi Jon my fault it's the following Lieutenant Colonel of Gordon Highlanders during the Tyrah campaign 1887 I will change the name sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for clarifying Ian and Diego. I'm not familiar with the Tyrah campaign, must look it up!

In terms of future subjects, I live a few miles from the town of Dingwall, where there is an imposing monument to Hector MacDonald, who commanded the infantry at Omdurman and won the battle for the British. An imposing fellow by all accounts, he would make a good future subject. If you need any help with local research, let me know.
