Greetings,
News from Harton Miniatures of their latest release is a Blackfoot Brave 1/9 scale resin bust sculpted by Carl Reid (box art?). It will be available in October. Looks like the usual excellent sculpting we've seen before from this upscale line, and, IMHO, comparable in quality to PiliPili.

John

Saw this one in the flesh and it is as good as it looks. The sad thing was I had to wait cos I'd already overspent.

But he's top of my shopping list.

I called Joh at Military Miniatures Warehouse and ordered one and he said he should have them in soon.

The only descrepency I see with the bust is the title. Only the Crow wore their hair like that in the front. Guess I will have to change the title on mine to Crow Warrior.

You're right, Guy. I told Carl Reid (the sculptor and owner of Harton Min) exactly that.

Also, the hair on the back is rather short for the Crows who wore it very long. But on the whole, this can be considered as Carl's best bust. (y) (y) (y)

Hallo,
I agree with Guy and Quang, the hair dress is Crow but not Blackfeet. I would suggest to change the hairs, also to make the hairs longer. Crow men had very long hairs. if you want to paint a Crow, I would suggest to change the Bow and Quiver case, as Crow had it in a very different style, with two toungs of beaded skin, and the cases from the fur of a mountain lion.

Best greatings from Germany

I bought this one at Euro and it is a very nice bust indeed.

The kit consists of:

Resin:

bust body
plinth

White metal:
bow and quiver with right arm attachde
quiver case front
left arm
feathers for top of head
left barid
four arrows
strap material

I have three Harton kits now and this is the best of the three. Nicely thought out construction.

I will not use the plinth but mount this one on a Ken Thomas bust base.

Highly recommended kit.

Quang great seeing you again this year.

Aloha,

Scott
