Hi Maurice,
Interesting figure, looks well done. The helmet almost looks like something you would find in an Optometrists office for giving an eye exam, its so intricate.
Just wondering. I notice on a number of the figures you have sculpted, a sort of leaning backwards and/or to one side pose with the hips thrust forward, not something you see in a lot of other figures. Is this a conscious sort of "signature" that you go for, or is is more of a subconscious thing that has worked its way into your sculpting style over time? I always wonder when I see a particular characteristic thats common in a sculptors figs if they are aware of it, or if its just something that they do without thinking too much about it. Faces on figures from a sculptor that are similar from one to the next make me wonder if they resemble the sculptor to some degree as well.
Cheers
Jason

Jason - if you've ever tried wearing/carrying a lot of gear, the body adopts some strange looking positions to keep the weight over the centre of gravity. I think Moz has got this right.. especially as it looks as if the trooper is reaching for something from his belt.

Won't be buying this one myself though - I proved with the sniper that I can't handle the fine detail anymore!

Actually I did for five years or so, and understand completely. I have just always been interested in the process of sculpting, and if over time certain characteristics become ingrained and become an artists style. I know I make a lot of the same mistakes when I attempt sculpting, and end up with the same results even if I try to change it around a bit style-wise. Over the years you kind of see a trend in figures, and rarely see a lot of glaring deviations from a given sculptor. I just wonder if they are aware of it, or like many things, become so accustomed to it they don't notice. Just a curiosity thats all.

Sorry mate, I obviously didn't quite get the point first time around - too early in the morning!
I do see your point though - if you look at the 200mm US para with .30 where he's carrying the weight of the gun..........

That is soooo goood moz. New this was coming soon but wow . Great sculpt mate and in this scale the details are awesome

Great sculpt Maurice! I love it... you definitely do your homework on the modern equipment well.

Cheers,
Mario

Sorry! The figure is 200mm and as i had a few emails , yes the figure can be assembled without the Night vision on the helmet.Like this.

Everything is shipped to date, i had an automatic notification set up on paypal but it doesn`t work, if anyone wants copies of the receipts i can do it manually. email me at [email protected]
A few people have asked me about the weapon/helmet/pistol being sold seperately, i can do it, but at the moment the right hand is cast onto the weapon. Helmet and pistol are no problem.
First chance i had to get on here in awhile.
Cheers
Moz
