I am about to take incoming flak :) but please take criticism happily: I personally think the painter stepped away from representing Lagertha | Katheryn Winnick. Honestly I can hardly recognize her with the paint on.

On the other hand, the shield is spot on the TV series! Fantastic!

All in all ... it's another unmissable Nuts miniature ... there goes my cash :hilarious:

Actually, I agree with that observation, with only the most extreme profile shots resembling the Vikings actor. Head on views she looks of heavier weight, but this all could of be done on purpose to avoid copyright infringements - note the two threads introducing this piece make no affiliation with the TV series.

As is, great paint done on this one, but I would point out that her checks are devoid of any colour, perhaps too subtle and the camera did not pick it up?

regards,
Jack

Luckily I'm not alone! :) Thanks Jack!

You see, I like to add monetary value to everything I buy. :) How can I say this properly - I would love these miniatures to be official licensed products. Furthermore: I would love to have signed samples by Katheryn Winnick (the actress) and Ahn-Jun Sik (the Sculptor).

I can use as an example sister scale 1/6. The market is incredibly bigger: For example Life Miniatures has about 4000 likes on Facebook and Hot Toys has almost 300.000!!! 1/6 is indeed a mainstream market! :)

If I can run a parallel, Hot Toys released about three years ago a licenced Catwoman | Anne Hathaway. I won't show a photo directly here in this topic but please follow this link if you don't know the figure:

Yes! It is a 1/6 miniature - incredible, isn't' she? A standard model can still be found and it costs about 250$ At the same time, Hot Toys released a very limited series of this same Catwoman riding the batbike and they sold it for around 750$. Only three years after, a little while ago on eBay one of these went for sale and the auction jumped the $5000.00 bar. Another model, signed by Anne Hathaway herself, went for sale for $20.000!

I would love these miniatures to have all around the Vikings logo's, Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers ... and so on and so on! I really would't mind to pay a little more pennies for it - a little bit like Knight Models delicious miniatures (y)

I really care about endorsement and added value :) . I would place in a pedestal these grays signed by the maidens they represent: Emilia Clarke, Katheryn Winnick and so on!

Hi Guys ,

It will be my pleasure to share this delight in a forthcoming review so watch out for it soon.

Some interesting points made by Mike and BT ....I would like to have a signed version by the sculptor and as for the actress ..copyright is the word here of course but would be willing to give her my mushrooms at breakfast ( thanks Janne ...great idea!!!!!!)

How I envy you Kev! :) Let me just add that licencing really adds value to miniatures in long term. And not miniatures alone - one to one scale Captain America's shield easily pass the $1000 mark.

In the hope Nuts Planet is following this topic, I would just like to give great Jun-Sik Ahn a future suggestion: Katheryn Winnick is so marvelously rendered, only him can give life to Jon Snow's fiancé - one of the least probable couples of fantasy literacy.

She is the reddish woman of all TV channels: Rose Leslie playing Ygritte, the wildling woman out of George Martin's imagination:

And if you follow the series, you know how brilliantly Rose gave life to this striking character! :) What a cracking bust she could become to be placed tight with the previously released Snow ...

Cheers Nuts! You're doing great - Please allow Jun-Sik to surpass himself crafting this maiden!

Me again :) returning to this topic for a good reason:

Tune your TV's this evening. Katheryn Winnick & her friends are back tonight for the debut of season III ...

... and there's an easy shield you can use as guide (y). Cheers!
