I totally agree with your point of view about the usefullness of the set and the advantages for the miserable masses. Still I think that the difficult side might be the need to work with mixes and glazes to acchieve results as shown on the box of these paint bottles. The old masters did not become masters because they had a special paint set....The shine is created artificially through painting not with gloss, like the old masters did.
