Tommys War
A Fixture
I'm pleased to confirm a fair number of new releases for September, all are available to purchase now at www.tommsywar.com and will be available at Euro Miniature Expo in Folkestone in 3 weeks time.
All figures are sculpted by Nino Pizzichemi and are cast in grey resin, box artists are shown individually.
TW32C03 - Trooper, Australian Light Horse, Beersheba 1917
A long awaited addition to the cavalry range, this figure shows an ALH Trooper charging at Beersheba with his bayonet (as Mounted Infantry those at the charge were not equipped with swords). I'm grateful to Alex Long for his fabulous box art which really brings the figure to life.
I've got this figure on my bench and it fits together perfectly, and it really is a wonderful figure. I'm pleased to say that both TW32C01 and TW32C02 are now also back available to order.
You can buy the figure here
You can read more about the Australian Light Horse at Beersheba here
TW32AL01, Marine, San Marco Brigade, Battle of Piave River 1917
Tommy's War has a huge following in Italy, so I wanted to reflect that in the releases. I'm pleased to confirm the first figure in the 'Allies' classification.
I'm delighted with the final result, Maurizio Berselli has done a magnificent job with the box art and it's a truly Italian collaboration all round!

German releases
I've been posting about a series of German releases for several weeks now, so now here they are. I've had two pieces of box art through and the others are all underway with Danilo Cartacci, Ernesto Reyes and Stelios Demiras. As finished art comes through I'll update the listings and show then in their true glory!
TW32CP07 – Grenadier, 11th Assault Bn, Ukraine 1917
Box art by Danilo Cartacci to follow
TW32CP08 – Pionier, 5th Storm Bn Rohr, Verdun June 1916
Box art by Alex Long
TW32CP09 – Leutnant, 44th Flieger Bn, Champagne, October 1915
Box art by Edward Sage
TW32CP10 – Hussar, 17th Brunswick Hussar Regiment 1915
Box art by Ernesto Reyes to follow
TW32CP11 – Leutnant, Fusilier Guards Regiment Ukraine 1916
Box art by Stelios Demiras to follow
TW32CP12 – Oberleutnant, 3rd Guards Reg, Queen Elizabeth, River Sambre 1914
Box art by Stelios Demiras to follow
TW32CP13 – Musketier, 1st Landsturm Bn Deutsch Eylau, Tannenberg 1914
One final figure to consider;
TW32044 - Private, 8th Bn London Regiment (Post Office Rifles)
I decided to add this figure to bolster the four releases from earlier this year and to add to the vignette options. In truth a lot of this release was my own OCD (I hate odd numbers) and the British and Empire figures had got to TW32043 - this rounds it to 044!
Nowt as strange as folk eh? But it really had bothered me!
This figure is a pose that's been requested a lot at model shows, and I've got a plan to demonstrate the four original figures plus this and the new lewis gunner in the Collectors Club Special pack for 2019 as a set of six - time permitting of course!
I'm delighted with the releases for September and I hope my customers like them to, there is a lot more information over on www.tommyswar.com.
In particular I would stress to pay particular attention to the blog (you can see the link on the home page) as this gives you lots of information on despatch dates, releases and much more.
As always, head over to www.tommyswar.com or email me at [email protected]
I will be at Euro Miniature Expo (Folkestone) in 3 weeks time, Scale Model Challenge in Veldhoven in October and IPMS Scale Model World in Telford in November. You can 'click and collect' at all the shows - see the blog link here
