I appreciate that 1/72 scale is not usually featured here but I hope my new figures might be of some interest.
Gunthwaite Miniatures was created to produce 1/72nd scale military miniatures for collectors, diorama builders and modellers generally. To date, the range has focussed on British and Dominion navies in WWII. The new sets of figures continue the theme of sailors but also include the first airmen within the range. The new figures are as follows:
GM72-018: Officers in oilskin suits
GM72-019: Fleet Air Arm Pilots (Early WWII)
GM72-020: Airmen & NCO Pilot (Early WWII)
GM72-021: Airmen (Early WWII)
The set comprising naval officers in oilskin suits (GM72-018), includes a figure which is loosely based on Lieutenant Commander Robert Hitchens who was the most decorated RNVR officer in WWII.
The figures are cast in white metal and are supplied unpainted in sets of three. More details are on our website: www.gunthwaite.co.uk
