Hi
I've just noticed that there has been a change in the rules regarding selling figures, which i'm in total agreement with.
The only problem i have, is in selling of painted figures/busts ,where the price has to be disclosed, which i reckon this should be kept between the seller and buyer, and shouldn't be open to all and sundry in how much you sell or buy figures for.
I very rarely post my painted figures for sale, but on the occasion i have ,i've never had any problems.
Am i right, that the rules are pertaining to painted figures for collectors?

I can see the logic of the changes regarding eligibility and the reasonable need to insist on priced sales for kits, bases, equipment etc.
I do think however that the sale of completed artwork is a matter much better kept between buyer and seller, otherwise I could see this risking negative and possibly quite personal comments and indeed some embarrassment.
Is it expected that the posting of prices for items is 'self policed' or will the moderators delete unpriced threads as in #3 of the regs?
Derek

Have to say the pricing policy follows other hobby forums I subscribe to, be they models or medals, no price published then the thread is deleted.
It makes it clear to the potential buyer if it is something they can afford from the word go and not waste both parties time.
If it's worth it someone will buy it!

Way I see it: Two different markets. (1) High-end painters selling finished pieces to collectors. (2) Stash-clearers & speculators selling unstarted kits to bargain-hunters & "holy-grail" seekers.

The former should be done via PM. The latter should be clearly priced up.

Hi Guys ,

Thanks for comments , a very valid point from Brian , I agree as Steve says 2 markets

I will pm ref this

Del ...as regards unpriced my thoughts are mods to contact member via pm , it could have been forgot but it should be something that the seller must include so it's self policing ..or should be

.

This all seems great.

Kev I was going to offer you a penny for your thoughts...

Would that be by PM ? :)

Paul.

There are lots of valid points to this discussion. However my thought leans toward the question of enforcement, of these new rules.

How to do it! I do not think it is possible.:(

I can easily sight a couple of characters, on here that have no interest in such regulations.

Mark.

Hi Mark ,

How to enforce .....difficult as you say , certainly if any not in line I see or am advised about , my idea would be to contact the seller to put correct detail in ( as currently with a thread in the Marketplace )

Like life nothing is perfect but the "rules" apply to all ..should settle down once it's bedded in
