I think there is a market for figures in this genre (as bob said) if the theme is followed through and there is a collection to be created.
Examples could be Alan Quartermain, She, William (Brown), Harry Flashman, Toad (of Toad Hall), Fagin, Bertie Wooster, Jeeves and Billy Bunter.
Crossing the pond theres so much in the works of Poe, Twain and the likes.

Is the falling bottle photo shopped above? Hope not but it certainly looks that way to me. Not sure how else it can be transparent in some shots and opaque in others. If so it really should be said as this is a commercial piece and folk will be trying to match the magic paint job.
