Hi,

Just saw in Last Cavalry's shop facebook the new SK Miniatures Bust. It's an 1/10 Mongol Warrior.
I think it's pretty Great! I like everything about it, seems to be a great sculpture and is beautifully painted. More details in the SK website (http://www.skminiatures.co.uk/#/mongol-warrior-bust/4576017702)

Thanks everyone! Sorry I should have posted this up before now - I was ill for a few days recently & I seem to have been chasing my tail ever since!
The model is 1/10th similar size to Young busts.
It is available now please either visit my website or contact me via [email protected].
There are more new releases pending - watch this space....

I've got one & it is a beaut. It is big though & closer to 200mm reckon it will fit well beside Young's Mongol Steppe a hunter bust he did for Mig many years ago. That's my plan for display anyway :)

Thanks Steve for great service as I'm in Ireland now & had chance to see this before I left Liverpool.

Mike

At last my friend Steve is moving in the right direction - the more Steppe Warriors the better!
My order has gone in so please take these few points as they are intended.
  • The binding of the sleeve to the tunic seems to be done to add to the "Barbarian" image of the figure, an image research is increasingly proving to be misplaced.
  • The arrow flights should be rounded at the top and normally quivers were hung from the belt, however I do appreciate some artistic licence to create a more interesting figure.
  • The Mongols have very sparse facial hair, even plucking the little they have as some native Americans did. The luxuriant growth displayed is far more representational of the Turco/Mongols like Tamurlaine.
Minor points, I know, but I feel worth making, so please buy this figure and hopefully Steve will produce even more of the fascinating tribes of Central Asia.
