I think that this bust is based on/a tribute to Michael Murphy, SEAL awarded with a posthumous Medal of Honor in 2005.

Accept really it looks nothing like Lt. Murphy, its far more angular and beefier, his face/head was more narrow and long,and much less "chiseled" (as mentioned on Timelines). I believe this is based on their Roman Legionary bust head, or is a very close look alike.

I said that it could be like a tribute, not literally sculpted as Lt. Murphy. Sorry if i was misunderstood.

See the photo on the background of the first pic of the bust. It is a photo of Lt. Murphy squad, and, on the original photo, Lt. Murphy is wearing the same patch that is sculpted on the bust right arm.

It's a nice change from the prior Busts released although I'd like to have seen a Mk 18 CQBR included with this one..

I'm waiting to see the first sculpture of the Ops Core FAST helmet on a modern day bust.
There's nice touches with this figure, Lt Murphy's NYFD Ladder badge, and James Suh's Call sign Tab (V14)
Suh wasn't one of the original 4 guys on the SRT Mission but was KIA in the rescue attempt when their MH47 was shot down killing another 8 SEAL's and 8 members of the 160th Aviation Regiment (Nightstalkers)

I like it but the first thing I could note is the head very similar than the roman legionary as it was told in a previous message. I think it could be better bust if Young change the head. Also can be better with a head with hat or helmet...

All in all I dig it, great subject, and the face definately has alot of character!

I think, the pink colour is to be led a little bit back on famously difficult fotographic exact looking of the colour Red.

The badge which carries the bust is not in the original also pink but orange-red and it is concerns not a troop badge, but a badge of the New York fire brigade like Michael Murphy carried it.
