Marvellous fantasy figures (y)
The horse warrior is one from Rohan`s riders ?
"Vercingetorix" :)confused:) is not from 52 BC, but, maybe, from 452 BC? But without helmet "wings" only :)

The nose on that horse just doesn't look right to me-is the head to small compared to the very bulky body?, just an observation I'm no equestrian expert!

Keith

Think you are right Keith

The horse is rather fantasy style, perhaps right out of Lord of the Rings :)

I may be wrong but I think with both figures, the sculpter is using liberal artistic licence to exaggerate nature and history to near-fantasy. If this was the intent, job well done. That is one muscular and scary horse... test for steroids after the race!

Though historically inaccurate and overblown, I still think these are interesting and fun pieces.

Cheers

Is there a special reason for hating Andrea so much in this particular forum?

I really love both of the figures. Specially the mounted viking. I have to agree the head looks a little small but I think it was meant to emphasise the size of the body. If I had that kind of money, I'd buy it for sure!

Even older, Gennady. It's a mixture of bronze age equipment (ca 1000 BC) and pure fantasy.
