I'm no sculptor, nor an anatomist and indeed my own physical proportions make me a popular subject for study by students of morphogenetic anomalies but this horse just don't look right to me.

More for the fantasy world I would say ,and sure it would work in that type of setting.

Certainly not going to knock it as a horse is hard enough to draw let alone sculpt.:)

But, on further deliberation, I feel this figure could infact represent the 'REAL' horse that's been missing from the world of figures for so long.
We've become too accustomed to every mounted figure having a modern thoroughbred as a mount, when historically most horses would have been animals with physical proportions unfamiliar to us today.

The hind legs do look a bit short to me, but then again, I'm no expert. I do like Crecy Models though and I hope they'll offer a follow-up release of horse furniture to be used with this sculpt. A few different options from various era's would be handy to have available.

Very true. I looked at this and thought it looked like the type of horse you would find on the Scottish English border region in the 16th century and before Hobelar's or Hobbies. A bead that is no longer with us.
