Having been raised in this hobby by my late father ('Talisman' of Milihistriot fame) in the 1960s, I can remember when Rose, Stadden and a few others were 'state of the art'. Then came the Historex revolution and once I returned to the hobby in the 1990s, there were many decent sculptors that made the Rose et all figures look like junk (pardon me Mr. Gammage). The Spanish, Italian, Brit and German figure makers have taken this hobby to a new level. Then the Russians came along, CHRONOS and Altorres in particular. They are outstanding in concept, detail and execution. We are blessed at this point in history. Now that I am retired, it is time to tackle that 'grey army'.
