Beautifully done, there is a real interaction between these two. The one of the left is clearly regarding something with suspicion, and his partner talking to him about it....”Just give her your number....” comes to mind. Nicely done, Alpine!

The jack boots and gaiters combo is interesting in itself, too.

it's amazing to see how the german camos have evoluted since i saw the real ones back in the 70s when those stuff were sold for cheap on any public markets in France XD

Great set with lovely poses will be picking up a set or two..... now just do others to go with them :)

IMHO both figures have a very relaxed - even tired - body language. Great sculpts (y) - about the German-theme: I don`t think that A. Laruccia would ever consider to move away from Romans or Gordon Mitchell and others to move away from Napoleonic Brits and Frenchies etc. - so do what you do best and bring on more Germans:D - and maybe let them move ! That said I think both would do well as additions to your 1/16 line if you let them "grow up".
Best! Martin

Hello Taesung,

A question for Toshihiro if that’s ok, what does he use to finish his figures, please? I mean washes and flat coat? The painting of all your figures really sets them apart.

Thank you

Kylie

Both very nice figures Taesung, really like what you have done with
WSS Grenadier G43 Rifle, I have been working on something very similar albeit very different scale.

Steve

Thanks again for taking time to leave comments, gents!

Hello Taesung,

Hi Kylie
Not sure... he is a member here. Maybe he can chime in.

My black books have some articles by him...tamiya enamels, draining off the carrier, then using white spirits..and between layers doing seal coats with matte clear...then replacing the carrier in the bottles for long term storage...labour intensive ..and tamiya enamels not available in all markets...

Taesung, old Johnny

Thanks for the insight, clearly I have much to learn about figure painting! It would have never occurred to me to drain my paints like that. The use of white spirits is a good idea, though.

Kylie

Through three issues he explains in detail...crazy...he advises sealing the piece after each session so the subsequent doesn’t wear into the old. I’d die of all the fumes!

I love alpine stuff, the only minus is all their figures are produced in a 'catalogue pose' I wish they'd release something with a more dramatic pose. The detail and sculpting is superb though.

Great set with lovely poses!!! I love Alpine work :) there is a real interaction between these two.(y)
